All our Tandem Introductory Hang Gliding Flights are done as towed up flights behind
a 'Bailey-Moyes' Dragonfly.The Dragonfly is a purpose build ultralite plane, designed by American Bob Bailey and Australian hang gliding pioneer Bill Moyes to fly/tow at similar speeds to hang gliders. This process has been used for years in glider/sailplane operations.
The method allows for a quicker turnaround time between flights compared to launching from the mountains which involves packup & setting up of gliders between each flight.

All launches & landings are done on wheels so no running is required from pilot
or passenger.

Flights are towed flights to approx 3,000ft asl,
this will be around 1,000ft above the top of Mt Tamborine where you can see an incredible 360 degree view of the East Coast, Gold Coast high rise buildings, the surrounding hinterland, the Great Dividing Range, The Border Ranges and the city of Brisbane.

Introductory tandem flights are around 20 to 25 minutes of airtime.

Tandem hang gliding requires no experience and is perfect for all ages*.

All our equipment undergoes regular and stringent safety checks. And you will be accompanied by our professional instructors who will take you on the flight of a lifetime.

Maximum weight of passenger can not exceed 80kg.

*Minimum passenger age is 14 years

The sport of hang gliding is very weather dependant. Our number one priority is passenger safety and therefore flights will be postponed and rescheduled if weather conditions are not suitable.

All Gift certificate flights need to be booked within 6 months of date of purchase.

You will need to wear casual clothing with joggers.

There is no shop close to the launch area so bringing a snack and water is a good idea.

Some people do get airsick, bring some travel calm if you think this may be a problem. Getting professional advise is best.

There is no insurance with flights, you do this at your own risk.

Hang Gliding is a high risk activity, you will need to sign waivers before the flight is taken.
