A tandem flight is a wonderful way to experience the joy of hang gliding with no experience necessary. At South East Qld Hang Gliding we fly in the amazing Gold Coast Hinterland, from Beechmont or Tamborine Mountain. The site choice is dependent on weather and wind direction, with Beechmont being predominant through summer and Tamborine Mountain through winter.


For your safety flights can never be guaranteed on a particular day, as hang gliding is a sport that relies on nature and we must also bend to her wishes. Please read all of the information below prior to booking.

Important Tandem Information





  • Must be 14 years or older
  • Under 80kg **
  • In general good health
  • Please wear casual clothes and joggers
  • Bring water and a snack
  • Hang gliding is a high risk activity and you undertake this at your own risk. A waiver must be signed prior to flying.
  • Most flights are 20 minutes depending on weather conditions
  • Hang gliding is a weather dependent sport and as such no guarantees can be made to fly on a set day.
